Beyondr (beyondr.org) is an AI-powered spiritual platform that values your spiritual journey. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

This policy complies with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). By using our service, you agree to the processing of your information as described here.

Information We Collect

Account Information (Google OAuth)

When you sign in with Google, we receive your public profile information:

·Profile photo URL

·Google account ID

Your password is never stored by Beyondr. Authentication is handled by Supabase (Google OAuth integration).

Conversation Data

When you use AI Counsel, we store:

·Messages you send

·AI-generated responses

·Selected persona (Transcendent, Sage, Guide, Philosopher)

·Conversation timestamps

Crisis Detection Scanning

For your safety, AI chat messages are automatically scanned for keywords that may indicate self-harm or a mental health crisis. This is an automated system — it does not involve a human reading your conversations in real time. When crisis signals are detected, we provide links to crisis support resources.

Usage Analytics

We use PostHog to analyze usage patterns to improve the service:

AI Conversation Data

The AI Counsel feature uses Anthropic's Claude API. Messages you send are transmitted to Anthropic servers to generate AI responses.

Anthropic's data handling:

·Transmitted messages are used only to generate AI responses

·Anthropic's privacy policy (anthropic.com/privacy) applies

·Anthropic has its own data retention policies for API usage

Semantic Search (Voyage AI):

The scripture search feature uses Voyage AI's embedding models. Search queries are sent to Voyage AI servers for semantic-based search.

We recommend not including sensitive personal information or details that could identify others in AI conversations.

Data Storage

Supabase (primary database)

Account information, conversation history, and preferences are stored encrypted in Supabase (AWS infrastructure in the US).

Browser local storage

Some preferences are stored on your device:

·`beyondr-font-size`: Scripture reading font size

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

We use cookies for Supabase authentication session management. These cookies are required to keep you logged in.

Your Rights

Under the Personal Information Protection Act, you have the following rights:

·Right to erasure: Request deletion of your account and related data

·Right to restrict processing: Request to stop processing for specific purposes

·Right to object: Object to how your data is processed

Data Retention

·Account information: Until account deletion

·Conversation history: Until account deletion (can be requested)

·Analytics data: Up to 2 years after collection

·Payment records: Up to 5 years as required by law

Upon account deletion request, we delete all related data within 30 days.

Children Under 14

Beyondr is not intended for children under 14. If we become aware that a child under 14 has used the service, we will immediately delete that account.

Policy Changes

If we change this policy, we will notify you by email or in-service notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect. For significant changes, we may ask for your consent again.
